Supplementary Estimates 1996.

I move:

Vote No. 10 — Office of Public Works.

That a supplementary sum not exceeding £11,100,000 be granted to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of December, 1996, for the salaries and expenses of the Office of Public Works; for services administered by that Office including the Stationery Office as part of the Government Supplies Agency, and for payment of certain grants.

Vote No. 13 — Office of the Attorney General.

That a supplementary sum not exceeding £2,350,000 be granted to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of December, 1996, for the salaries and expenses of the Office of the Attorney General including a grant-in-aid.

Vote No. 19 — Office of the Minister for Justice.

That a supplementary sum not exceeding £1,296,000 be granted to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of December, 1996, for the salaries and expenses of the Office of the Minister for Justice, and of certain other services, including payments under a cash-limited scheme administered by that Office, and for payment of grants.

Vote No. 20 — Garda Síochána.

That a supplementary sum not exceeding £15,480,000 be granted to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of December, 1996, for the salaries and expenses of the Garda Síochána, including pensions, etc.; for payments of compensation and other expenses arising out of service in the Local Security Force; for the payment of certain witnesses' expenses; and for payment of a grant-in-aid.

Vote No. 21 — Prisons.

That a supplementary sum not exceeding £4,325,000 be granted to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of December, 1996, for the salaries and expenses of the Prison Service, probation and welfare staff and other expenses in connection with prisons, including places of detention; for probation and welfare services; and for payment of a grant-in-aid.

Vote No. 30 — Marine.

That a supplementary sum not exceeding £1,000 be granted to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of December, 1996, for the salaries and expenses of the Office of the Minister for the Marine, including certain services administered by that Office, and for payment of certain grants and sundry grants-in-aid.

Vote No. 34 — Enterprise and Employment.

That a supplementary sum not exceeding £40,533,000 be granted to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of December, 1996, for the salaries and expenses of the Office of the Minister for Enterprise and Employment, including certain services administered by that office, for payment of certain subsidies, grants and grants-in-aid and for the payment of certain grants under cash-limited schemes.

Vote No. 39 — International Co-Operation.

That a supplementary sum not exceeding £1,000,000 be granted to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of December, 1996, for contributions to International Organisations and for certain Official Development Assistance, including certain grants-in-aid.
