Question:132 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if his Department will pay headage and premium grants to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim. [24085/96]
Written Answers. - Headage and Premium Payments.
The herdowner's application for grants under the 1996 ewe premium and sheep headage schemes was refused by the local livestock office of the Department. An appeal was lodged with the headage and premia appeals unit. This appeal is now being examined and it is expected that the case will be finalised within the next week. The herdowner will be notified of the outcome as soon as the appeal is concluded.
