Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Browne (Wexford)— the urgent need for extra classroom accommodation for St. Margaret's national school, Curracloe, County Wexford; (2) Deputy Seán Ryan — the future of the vegetable industry in view of the current levels of importation; (3) Deputy Callely — the need to approve the necessary funding for building works in Ard Scoil Rís, Dublin 3; (4) Deputy Gallagher (Laoighis-Offaly)— the urgent need to provide a new Garda station for Tullamore, County Offaly, in view of the risk to the health and safety of the Garda Síochána and the public arising from the condition of the existing station; (5) Deputy Joe Walsh — the need for urgent flood relief works at Dunmanway, County Cork; (6) Deputy Hughes — the reason the recently advertised positions of third and fourth legal assistants for the Office of the Attorney General are being confined to barristers only and that solicitors who are qualified to be appointed judges of the Circuit Court are deemed ineligible to apply; (7) Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív — an gá atá ann go leagfar píopa deich n-orlach ón Spidéal go Ros a Mhíl, le chinntiú go mbeidh soláthar ceart uisce sa gceantar seo; (8) Deputy Ned O'Keeffe — the delay in having a new Garda station built in Doneraile, County Cork, in view of the conditions the gardaí are currently working in, particularly without heat or lighting; (9) Deputy O'Donoghue — the reason a District Court clerk was not properly appointed and assigned in Ballina, County Mayo, recently, and the consequences of such an improperly appointed person acting as District Court clerk; (10) Deputy Cullen — the current status of the proposed deal between the ESB and British Telecom regarding the use of the ESB mast network.

The matters raised by Deputies Hughes, Joe Walsh, Browne (Wexford) and O'Donoghue have been selected for discussion.
