30 Miss Coughlan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs whether the Irish EU Presidency supports the resolutions adopted by the European Parliament on Nigeria, China, Georgia, Armenia and Salvador during emergency debates on 15 November 1996. [23970/96]
In accordance with usual practice the European Parliament resolutions referred to were noted by the General Affairs Council at its meeting on 6 December 1996. They will be duly taken into account by the Council in its deliberations. I will be happy to reply to any specific questions which the Deputy might wish to raise in relation to the countries referred to or any other country.
