120 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when the remaining copy ewe premium cheques will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the fact that they were requested on 9 July 1996. [24179/96]
The person concerned was issued a payable order on 7 July 1995 which was cashed on 26 July 1995. An additional payable order was issued to him on 8 February 1996 which was cashed on 8 March 1996.
When this request was renewed on 10 December 1996 we were informed by the Office of the Paymaster General that there has been a problem with the filing of some cashed cheques in its storage sections and it may take some weeks before it will be able to deal with our request because of a backlog arising from other queries.
Copies of these cashed cheques which have been requested from the Office of the Paymaster General will be fowarded to the person in question as soon as they are received as promised some weeks ago.
