285 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Social Welfare whether he proposes to publish the Green Paper on the role of the voluntary and communities sector and its relationship with the statutory sector; if so, when; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24367/96]

I indicated the position with regard to the publication of the Green Paper in my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 45 on 16 October 1996.

The draft Green Paper is being circulated to all Departments this week for comments prior to its submission to the Government. I anticipate that the Green Paper will be ready for publication early in the new year.
