Written Answers. - Youth Service Bill.
A draft of the Youth Work Bill has very recently been produced by the Parliamentary draftsman. The next stages in the process are the comprehensive checking of that draft; the circulation of that draft to other Departments; the submission, following the consultation with other Departments, of the final text of the Bill for approval by the Government; and the subsequent publication of the Bill. It has not yet been possible to commence work on those next stages. It is hoped, however, that the Bill will be published as early as possible in 1997.
