196 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Social Welfare the total amount of debts owned by semi-State bodies under the aegis of his Department at the end of November 1996; the comparative figures in this regard for each of the years 1990 and 1993; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25020/96]
The answer is nil in respect of the bodies coming under the aegis of my Department, namely, the Pensions Board, the Combat Poverty Agency and the National Social Service Board. The answer is also nil in respect of the National Council for the Elderly and National Validation Body for Social Work Training and Qualifications for which the National Social Service Board has responsibility on a temporary basis.
