204 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade the total amount of debts owed by semi-State bodies under the aegis of his Department at the end of November 1996; the comparative figures in this regard for each of the years 1990 and 1993; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25021/96]
The levels of intra-year debt in State-sponsored organisations are a matter for the day to day management of the bodies concerned and, as such, are not matters with which it is appropriate for Ministers to involve themselves.
If the Deputy wishes to consult year end statistics of debt levels in these organisations for purposes of comparision, analysis, etc., I would suggest that he will find these readily available in the relevant annual report of the bodies concerned. These are, of course, placed in the Oireachtas Library.
