Question:

TÓgfaidh mé Ceisteanna Uimhir 14 agus 23 le chéile.

Under paragraph 3.6.8 of the Operational Programme for Industrial Development 1994-1999, provision is made for the support of the Irish film industry up to 1999 by way of both pre-production and production supports. Moreover, section 35 of the Finance Act, 1987, as amended, is now in place until 1999. The section 35 measure is a tax incentive scheme for investment in film production in the State and is, in effect, a fund for film production.

The Deputies will note, therefore, that proposals have already been implemented by me to secure a fund for film production into the future.
