Vol. 473 No. 4

Written Answers. - Land Registry Delay.

Michael Ring

Question:

571 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when Land Commission proceedings will be completed in relation to land (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the fact that the delay is holding up a Land Registry dealing for a person; and the stage the proceedings are at. [1674/97]

My Department is currently examining this matter with a view to preparing a resale scheme for the disposal of the property in question which is currently owned by the Congested Districts Board.

While I am not in a position to anticipate when the matter will be completed, the work involved will be carried out as expeditiously as possible. My officials will be in touch with the Deputy to inform him when the matter has reached a conclusion.
