Vol. 473 No. 6

Written Answers. - Nursing Homes Subvention.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

131 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health if he will have investigations made regarding an application for nursing home subvention which was lodged two months ago in respect of a person (details supplied) now resident in a nursing home. [2326/97]

Limerick East): Article 11.1 of the Nursing Homes (Subvention) Regulations, 1993 states that a health board shall inform the applicant in writing within eight weeks of the receipt of the application, or, if all the information sought has not been provided with the application, within eight weeks of the receipt of the information requested, of its decision whether to pay a subvention to the person to whom the application refers and the amount of any subvention to be paid. I am having the case raised by the Deputy investigated and I have asked the Southern Health Board to respond directly to him with the findings.
