Vol. 473 No. 6

Written Answers. - Local Authority Projects.

Mary Coughlan

Question:

169 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for the Environment the projects in County Wexford in respect of which Wexford County Council applied for funding in 1997; the cost of these projects; and the cost of projects in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, counties Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Cavan, Monaghan and Louth which were forwarded to his Department for 1997. [2281/97]

In general, applications for funding are not made to my Department on a year by year basis. In the case of certain services, annual allocations are made in the light of funding applications on hand and anticipated; in other cases allocations are made on a project by project basis throughout the year. Complication of lists of projects under the various service headings for all of the areas referred to would involve a disproportionate amount of time and work. I will be happy, however, to supply information on the latest allocations for particular services, on request, where this information has not already been provided.
