Question:

235 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Justice the type of special arrangements that are considered when requested by prisoners; the type of special arrangements that are currently in place; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [1988/97]

Requests from prisoners for special arrangements or facilities are considered on their merits in each case, subject to the regime in operation at the instiaries tution in question and any other relevant factors, such as entitlements under the prison rules.
