Vol. 473 No. 6

Written Answers. - Naturalisation Applications.

Gerard Collins

Question:

50 Mr. Collins asked the Minister for Justice if she will list the names, addresses, occupations and companies in which investments have been made by non-nationals in return for Irish citizenship; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [2154/97]

The names and addresses of all persons who are granted naturalisation are published in Iris Oifigiúil in accordance with law. This requirement has been met in respect of all persons who were naturalised by me under the provisions of the investmentbased naturalisation scheme.

It has never been the practice to identify companies in receipt of naturalisation-based investment in the interests of employment protection and commercial sensitivities.
