Question:188 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for the Marine if he will sanction the commencement of work on a development programme for Baltimore Harbour, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2544/97]
Written Answers. - Baltimore (Cork) Harbour Development.
I refer the Deputy to my most recent reply to this question of 3 October 1996 last. Until such a time as the mid-term review of the operational programme for transport 1994 is finalised, I am not in a position to say whether there will be any capacity to part-fund the Baltimore development or indeed any other suitable port project which was not identified in the original indicative programme. The review is ongoing and will be completed later in the year.
