Vol. 474 No. 1

Written Answers. - Tax Reliefs.

Cecilia Keaveney

Question:

62 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Finance the plans, if any, he has to allow tax relief, with specific defined perimeters, on corporate donations given to approved charities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2436/97]

Charities generally already enjoy significant benefits under the tax code. There is no general scheme of tax relief on corporate donations to charities and I have no plans to introduce such relief at present.
