121 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for Education the grants, if any, which she has made available to Ennis UDC and Clare County Council towards the provision of pitches in 1995 and 1996; and the plans, if any, she has in this regard for 1997. [2452/97]

My Department published a full list of grants allocated under the sports capital programme in 1995 in an annual report, Sport in Ireland.

My replies to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 13 and 44 in the Official Report contain a full list of grants allocated in 1995 and 1996 under both the recreational facilities scheme and the major facilities scheme.

The level of funding for 1997 has not yet been determined. However, my Department will be considering all applications on hand in due course.
