57 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for the Environment the number of female driving testers currently employed per county; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2701/97]

63 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for the Environment the number of male driving testers currently employed per county. [2713/97]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 57 and 63 together.

Driver testers operate on a regional rather than a county basis. There are currently 70 driver testers, divided between six regions. There is one female tester.
