Vol. 474 No. 2

Written Answers. - Air Pollution Monitors.

Noel Dempsey

Question:

59 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for the Environment the sites where air pollution levels are being monitored. [2703/97]

Information on the number, location and nature of air quality monitoring stations throughout the country is set out in the Environmental Protection Agency's report, "Air Pollution in Ireland, Emission, Deposition and Concentrations 1984-1994", a copy of which is in the Library.

The monitoring station at Aghada, County Cork, closed down at the end of March, 1996; the remaining information in the report on monitoring stations is unchanged.
