112 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for the Marine the scope, if any, there is to work interdepartmentally to finance major industrial port development in County Donegal in the interests of job creation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2658/97]
The two commercial ports in County Donegal under the aegis of my Department — scheduled under the Harbours Act, 1946 — have not catered for significant commercial traffic for many years. The development strategy for ports is focussed on investment at identified strategic and regional ports. I have no plans or resources for major industrial port development in County Donegal.
