120 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the action, if any, he is taking to finalise the position as outlined in his letter, reference 1106/96, concerning a planning application by a person in County Leitrim. [2843/97]
The waterways service of my Department objected to this application because an area of land acquired by it for the development of the Shannon-Erne waterway was included in the site map furnished with the planning application to Leitrim County Council. The position remains that the area in question is still required for the Shannon-Erne waterway and no further action is proposed.
