177 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education, further to her reply to Deputy Mr. Aylward's Parliamentary Question No. 143 of 3 December 1996, the reason for the delay in having the visiting teacher post filled; and when this vacant post will be filled. [2978/97]
The delay in filling the post in question is due to the fact that this matter was being addressed as part of a wider reorganisation of the visiting teacher service in the area in question. I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the reorganisation in question is now completed and I expect that the post to which he refers will be filled within the next two weeks.
