Statistics on the numbers of unemployed people are complied and published by the Central Statistics Office. The information requested by the Deputy in relation to October 1994, April 1995 and October 1995 is contained in my reply to Question No. 52 from the Deputy on 16 May 1996. The equivalent figures for April 1996 and October 1996 are contained in the Central Statistics Offices statistical releases "Live Register: Half Yearly Age by Duration Analysis" published by them on July 1996 and 18 December 1996, respectively, and which are available in the Oireachtas Library.
