221 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade the number of public servants in areas falling within the remit of his Department who are currently on career breaks; and the number who have been waiting over two months to return to work. [2964/97]

Within my Department there are four staff currently on career breaks. These career breaks have not yet expired. In relation to the State-sponsored bodies under my Department's aegis, this is a day-to-day matter for the agencies themselves.
