I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Lynch — the need to devise a system whereby all exclusions from school are notified immediately to the Department of Education; (2) Deputy Gallagher (Laoighis-Offaly)— the urgent need to provide a new Garda station for Tullamore, County Offaly, in view of the risk to the health and safety of the Garda Síochána and the public arising from the condition of the existing station; (3) Deputy Ring — the need to instruct the Western Health Board to appoint a dentist for the Belmullet area, County Mayo, either in a temporary or permanent capacity, in view of the delays in dental treatment for young people in the area; (4) Deputy Costello — the need to provide statutory protection for listed buildings; (5) Deputy Shortall — the urgent need to approve Dublin Corporation's plans for the redevelopment of the Ballymun Estate, Dublin; (6) Deputy Molloy — the reason for the five month delay in sanctioning a grant of £2,800 to Galway City Vocational Education Committee for alterations to special toilet facilities for a person who is confined to a wheelchair (details supplied); (7) Deputy Upton — the need to protect consumers' health from the dangers of infected meat in the context of the Eastern Health Board's failure to prosecute butchers and meat processors following the recommendations of the Chief Veterinary Officer of South Dublin County Council that such action should be taken; (8) Deputy Ó Cuív — the need to ensure that, under section 27 (2) (d) of the Medical Practitioners Act, the Medical Council does not discriminate against foreign nationals who have had temporary registration over long periods in this country; (9) Deputy Flaherty — the urgent need to resolve the industrial relations problems in the Department of Education in light of the cancellation of the Applied Leaving Certificate assessments which affected the interests of 3,000 students; (10) Deputy Keaveney — the continuing concern being expressed by the Foyle fishermen in relation to the incoming season; (11) Deputy Kirk — the reason the building project for De La Salle College in Dundalk, County Louth has not been included in the 1997 list of post primary building projects: (12) Deputy J. Walsh — the incorporation of meat and bonemeal in animal feedstuffs, thereby increasing the risk of the spread of BSE; (13) Deputy Martin — the need to intervene in the trade dispute in Irish Life; (14) Deputy M. Ahern — the new tax treatment applicable to car trade-ins and car leasing as outlined in the tax briefing published by the Office of the Chief Inspector of Taxes.
