Vol. 474 No. 6

Written Answers. - School Facilities.

Frank Crowley

Question:

168 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Education the proposals, if any, she has to provide a general purposes room to Ballyhass primary school, Castlemagner, Mallow, County Cork. [3584/97]

While I am anxious to extend the provision of general purposes facilities in primary schools, the pace at which this can be achieved will be dictated by the financial resources available and the priority must remain the provision of essential classroom accommodation. In these circumstances, it is not possible to provide a general purposes room at Ballyhall primary school at present.
