209 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice the response of the Garda to the almost nightly incidents with robbed cars in an estate (details supplied) in Dublin 7 and to complaints from residents that calls for Garda assistance are not acted on speedily to apprehend the culprits. [3743/97]

I am informed by Garda authorities that local gardaí are taking appropriate action to deal with this matter. I am further informed that there is no evidence that the gardaí are not responding quickly to calls for assistance.
