270 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if he will give details of the EU directives, regulations and conventions in respect of which his Department has responsibility and which have not been incorporated into Irish law; and if he will give a timescale for completion of the work in respect of each instrument. [3780/97]
Details of EU directives which come within my Department's area of responsibility and which are still awaiting transposition into Irish law are contained in the following schedule. There are no EU regulations currently awaiting transposition. The only convention involving my Department is the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) which has not yet been signed by Ireland. Legislation to allow Ireland to accede to this agreement is in preparation.
