Question:

282 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Defence the number of military airports and naval stations in the State; and their locations. [3517/97]

The main location for military aviation is Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel, County Dublin. Other military aviation facilities are provided at Gormanston Camp, County Meath, and Finner Camp, County Donegal.

The naval base is located at Haulbowline, County Cork. Training facilities for An Slua Muirí are available at coast watch station, Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin, military barracks, Waterford city, Fort Templebreedy, Crosshaven, County Cork and Kilrush Marina, Kilrush, County Clare.
