Question:

131 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if he intends to comply with an EU Directive which requires all member countries to ensure that by April 1999, flight crews do not have more than 20mg of alcohol per 100ml blood. [3406/97]

There is no EU directive relating to the subject matter of the Deputy's question. I understand also that the European Commission is not at present preparing a proposal for a directive on this matter.
