Vol. 475 No. 1

Written Answers. - Passport Applications.

Michael McDowell

Question:

86 Mr. M. McDowell asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the reason persons (details supplied) in Dublin 6 who are both Irish citizens, are receiving little co-operation from his Department in respect of their entitlements to Irish passports; the reason the first person encountered difficulty in having his Irish passport renewed at the Irish Embassy in Tokyo; the reason the second person has been experiencing difficulty in obtaining an Irish passport; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4300/97]

There are aspects of this case which are still under investigation. I will arrange to keep the Deputy informed of the outcome.
