107 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when the next REP scheme training course for planners will be announced, subsequent to the course which is commencing on 19 February 1997; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4724/97]
As the Deputy is aware, a comprehensive training course for new REPS planners is currently in progress. No date has been fixed for a further course but factors such as farmer demand for planners, the capacity of existing planners to handle both existing and new applications and the level of new applications combine to determine the need for such courses.
