Vol. 475 No. 3

Written Answers. - Medieval Dublin.

Ivor Callely

Question:

64 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the progress, if any, which has been made to make available the huge amount of knowledge and experience of our archaeology, in particular medieval Dublin as referred to in Parliamentary Question No. 23 of 12 November 1996; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4762/97]

The Sites and Monuments Records and the Urban Archaeology Survey recording all known archaeological sites in the greater Dublin area are available for consultation in my Department and in public libraries. The Archaeological Inventory of Dublin is now almost complete and will be published next year.
