Question:90 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education if she will approve an application by a committee (details supplied) in County Kilkenny for additional funding under the capital grants programme. [4736/97]
Written Answers. - Recreational Facilities Scheme.
A grant of £20,000 was paid to the organisation in question in 1995 under my Department's recreational facilities scheme towards the cost of building a community centre, which was completed in 1995.
An application has recently been received for further grant assistance in respect of this project. Under the terms of this scheme grants are not payable in respect of projects which have been completed prior to the date of grant allocation.
The organisation concerned will be notified of the outcome of its application as soon as possible.
