211 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Education whether she intends to maintain the current number of teaching staff in Scoil Chroi Iosa, Presentation Convent, Newcastle Road, Galway, for the academic year 1997-98; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [4988/97]

Final decisions have not yet been made regarding the staffing allocations for primary schools for the 1997-8 school year.

However, I can assure the Deputy that as soon as the allocations have been decided, the needs of Scoil Chroi Iosa will be fully considered.
