Between 1994 and 1995 imports from Northern Ireland increased by 20.8 per cent while exports to Northern Ireland increased by 8.8 per cent in the same period. For the first nine months of 1996, imports increased by 3.4 per cent compared with the first nine months of 1995, while exports increased by 6.1 per cent.
