97 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Health the current position regarding the proposed nursing unit in Killybegs, County Donegal, announced in June 1995 during his visit; the current stage of planning of the project; when work will commence on the project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. 104 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Health if moneys will be provided in the 1997 capital expenditure programme to build the nursing unit at Killybegs, County Donegal as promised by him two years ago; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4959/97]

Limerick East): The North-Western Health Board has submitted the documentation relevant to Stage 3 of the planning process for this project to my Department and this submission is currently being considered. The intention is to allow this project proceed through the remaining stages of planning and on to construction as soon as possible, and adequate provision for this purpose will be made in my Department's capital programme for 1997 and subsequent years.
