Vol. 475 No. 7

Written Answers. - Funding Application.

Chris Flood

Question:

116 Mr. Flood asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received an application for funding from South Dublin County Council to provide a two-way speech system for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 24; if so, if he will approve this application in view of the circumstances pertaining in this case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5728/97]

South Dublin County Council is responsible for the administration of the disabled person's grants scheme to which this application relates and the provision of funds for the payment of these grants is primarily a matter for it. The council has been informed that my Department will recoup the appropriate portion of any grant paid in respect of the house.
