154 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education if she will have arrangements made to allocate a national lottery grant under the recreational facilities scheme to a club (details supplied) in County Kilkenny for the provision of dressing rooms; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [5682/97]
I am pleased to inform the Deputy that a grant of £6,000 was allocated late last year to the club in question under the recreational facilities scheme.
My Department is still awaiting some of the documentation requested in its letter of 20 November 1996 to enable the grant to be formally approved. A further letter has issued to the club requesting clarification on certain matters.
Payments of the grant can be arranged as soon as all the relevant documentation is received and found to be in order.
