168 Miss Flaherty asked the Minister for Education if she will make funds available to DCU to allow it develop the St. Clare land in view of the absence of sports facilities at DCU and the local need for playing space. [5868/97]
My Department has received an application from DCU for funding towards the cost of developing sports facilities on the St. Clare land. This application, which is one of over one thousand applications on hand seeking funding for the provision of sports and recreational facilities, will be considered in the context of the funds available in 1997 for the sports capital programme.
