265 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for the Marine if the drift net bye-laws in relation to sanctuary areas will be introduced in the Western Regional Fishery Board area for 1997; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5622/97]

I have asked the Sea Trout Monitoring and Advisory Group to assess and advise me on all conservation measures to protect sea trout stocks for 1997.
