Vol. 475 No. 7

Written Answers. - EU Grants Publication Costs.

Cecilia Keaveney

Question:

111 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for the Environment the costs involved in producing literature to outline the European grants available in 1995 and 1996; the manner in which such grants can be accessed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5683/97]

EU co-financed expenditure for which I am responsible involves mainly expenditure by local authorities, the National Roads Authority and other public bodies on various infrastructural services.

Applications for waste management grants under the relevant EU co-financed scheme are invited by public advertisement from time to time; application forms are available from my Department on request.
Documentation associated with EU co-financed schemes generally is produced in-house, and the costs are not disaggregated from administrative costs of a similar nature.
Information on EU funded programmes generally is set out inEuropean Funding in Ireland — Your Guide which was published jointly by the Minister of State with responsibility for European Affairs and the European Commission representation in Ireland, in May 1996. Copies have been placed in the Oireachtas Library, and are available, free of charge, from the Government Information Service.
