Vol. 475 No. 8

Written Answers. - Medical Treatment.

Michael Ring

Question:

94 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health whether a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called for a further appointment in Galway Hospital in view of the fact that this person's condition has deteriorated rapidly and her family and general practitioner are extremely worried. [6159/97]

Limerick East): As the provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Mayo is the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board in the first instance I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
