Question:55 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Finance if he will request the Revenue Commissioners to review the case of a person (details supplied) in County Meath. [6449/97]
Written Answers. - Tax Refunds.
I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that, in view of the fact that the taxpayer ceased employment on 20 September 1996 and is unlikely to resume employment before 5 April 1997, a review of his tax affairs for 1996-97 has now been carried out. As a result an overpayment of £278.64 has arisen. A cheque for this amount will issue shortly.
