157 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when he will provide a satisfactory advisory service to farmers undertaking forestry in terms of approval for forestry development and a back-up advisory service. [7054/97]

I am satisfied that an adequate development and back-up advisory service is available to farmers undertaking forestry through the services available from my Department's forestry inspectorate, Teagasc and the private sector forestry contracting companies.
