97 Mr. N. Treacy asked the Minister for the Environment if he will sanction a project (details supplied) in County Galway; the date on which this will be done; the amount to be allocated in this regard; the date on which works will commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7120/97]

A brief and preliminary report for Kilconnell sewerage scheme is with my Department at present but, having regard to the existing high level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve this scheme.
