Question:23 Miss Harney asked the Minister for Defence when he will make the consultants' report on the Air Corps and Naval service available to the representative associations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7148/97]
Written Answers. - Consultants' Report.
The current review of the Naval Service and the Air Corps is being carried out by the Efficiency Audit Group who have engaged Price Waterhouse Management Consultants to assist them in their work. I understand that the management consultants have recently submitted a draft report to the Efficiency Audit Group for their comments and observations.
This draft report is now being considered by the Efficiency Audit Group's steering committee, on which the Air Corps and Naval Service are represented. It is hoped that a final draft report will be submitted to the Efficiency Audit Group within the next few weeks. When the Efficiency Audit Group has received the final report from the management consultants they will then be in a position to prepare and submit their own report to Government for consideration.
