Question:

37 Mr. Nealon asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the locations of his Department's offices outside Dublin; and the number of civil servants working in each such office. [7291/97]

The Department of Foreign Affairs has a passport office in Cork which employs 23 permanent civil servants and 10 temporary clerical assistants.

As part of its diplomatic and consular service, the Department has 49 missions overseas, comprising 40 bilateral embassies, 5 consulates and 4 multilateral posts.
The Office of the Tánaiste has only one office which is located in Dublin.
