135 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the total cost of non-civil servants and other such staff attached to his office for each of the years 1980, 1988, 1990, 1995 and 1996; and the estimated cost for 1997. [7854/97]

The approximate total costs of non-civil service staff for the years in question are as follows: 1988, £81,000; 1990, £111,000; 1995, £121,500; 1996, £139,000; 1997, £142,000 (estimate). There are no records available for 1980.
